Naidu's medical report raising suspicions, medical board should examine: Sajjala

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has criticised the medical memo on Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, filed by Naidu’s lawyers before the AP High Court, which said there is an “increased risk” of a heart ailment.

Addressing the media here on Thursday, he said if the Opposition leader was suffering from heart ailments, he should have approached the judiciary and the court would grant him relief.

“The TD chief claims he is a healthy person but the reports speak otherwise, raising suspicion. Till recently, Chandrababu did not care for his age and acted like a youth but now even his skin allergy has turned deadly.”

He said the High Court granted Naidu interim bail and allowed him medical treatment from a doctor of his choice. After coming out of the jail, he travelled for more than 14 hours, waited for the party activists to welcome him, and reached Vijayawada the next morning. Thereafter, he went to Hyderabad.”

“While in prison, Naidu acted as if he would lose his eye if not operated; and that, if his skin allergy was not treated his heart would stop ticking. The AIG Hospital has given a report that considering his public life, he should have an ambulance for heart diseases with him 24x7.”

“Looking at the doctor’s advice, the question arises whether they are medical doctors - or political doctors,” the government adviser said.

Ramakrishna Reddy said that as per Naidu’s health report, a cardiologist suggested that he should undergo a stent procedure immediately or should be admitted to hospital and monitored. The skin report reveals that a skin cancer ovulation should be done and as Babu is in public life, he can move around in an ambulance. These recommendations raise numerous doubts on the veracity of these medical reports.”

He alleged that the medical report looked like a match fixing report. “Looking at all these, it seems that justice for Chandrababu and justice for other prisoners are not the same. A medical board should be formed to check Naidu’s health situation,” he proposed.

Ramakrishna Reddy said that Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy was accorded bail after a thorough examination of the reports of the medical board. “In the case of Chandrababu, the High Court liberally gave him permission for medical treatment with his regular doctors. This facility is being misused by the accused.”

Commenting about the TD-Jana Sena mini-manifesto, Ramakrishna Reddy said that the duo have started a new drama in the name of manifesto to once again deceive the people of Andhra Pradesh in line with the 2014 election manifesto. “The promises made in the TD-BJP-JS manifesto before the 2014 elections were deleted from the public domain soon after they came to power.
