Harish Rao rubbishes Congress' manifesto as '420 manifesto'

Hyderabad: Finance minister T. Harish Rao dismissed the Congress manifesto, which was released on Friday, as a “420 manifesto”.

“Congress is making impossible promises. It does not inspire confidence and it has no support from the people. We are already witnessing the troubles people of Karnataka are in after they elected Congress to power six months back,” he said.

“Fearing a backlash from the voters, it has included a 24-hour power promise in its manifesto. It has included schemes that the BRS government is already implementing like Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi, and distribution of sheep,” he said.

Harish Rao was speaking in Gajwel where he also trained his guns on BJP candidate Etala Rajendar, who, Rao alleged, was the one who had signed documents seeking loans for the state as the then finance minister.

“He had then praised the Chief Minister, whom he is now criticizing. He is making up things just to secure some votes,” Rao said.
