KCR keeping silent on jobs despite suicides: Revanth

Appeals to unemployed youths to persuade their parents to elect Congress

Hyderabad: “Unemployed youth of Telangana will not get jobs till Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K.T. Rama Rao become politically unemployed. The father-son duo which failed to fulfill the party’s promise of creating two lakh jobs has continued their apathy by keeping mum on job creation in the 2023 manifesto,” said Pradesh Congress Committee chief A. Revanth Reddy.

He appealed to the 30 lakh unemployed youths, who he said had registered themselves with the state agencies, to persuade their parents to elect a Congress government as the party has assured to fill two lakh government jobs by December 9, 2024, a year after assuming office.

“You are 30 lakh and with the two votes of each of your parents, it will be 90 lakh votes for the Congress which means 90 seats,” he pointed out.

Revanth Reddy was speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan after the police foiled his attempt to reach the Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park opposite Assembly. He was on his way to the memorial as part of his challenge to the Chief Minister to take oath on Telangana martyrs that his party would not use money and liquor to lure voters.

“They (BRS) allege that every rupee or liquor bottle seized belongs to Congress and is coming from Karnataka. But, CM failed to respond to my challenge which clearly shows the BRS’ evil design to win luring voters,” he said.

The PCC chief sought to establish the lack of commitment of the Chief Minister on job creation by highlighting that the latter copied every other promise of Congress and even hiked the assistance amount but remained silent on jobs.

“When the Congress promised a gas cylinder at Rs 500, he offered to give it at Rs 400. Copying our financial assistance scheme to women Soubhagyalakshmi, KCR promised Rs 3,000 and also promised enhanced the Rythu Bandhu amount. If he is sincere about unemployed youth, KCR should have announced filling 2.5 lakh jobs in six months against our promise of two lakh jobs in one year,” he said.

Revanth Reddy came down heavily on the police for revealing the call data and chats retrieved from M. Pravalika’s phone, against the rules. “The father-son duo (of KCR and KTR) stooped down to character assassination and if they are voted to power again they will repeat the same with every person who falls a victim of state incompetency or highhandedness,” he added.
