BRS MLAs focus on women voters with insurance cover, LPG

Adilabad: With many promises in BRS manifesto being parallel to six guarantees promised by the Congress, ruling party MLAs and leaders are trying to impress women voters with BRS’ promise of LPG cylinder for Rs 400 and Rs 5 lakh insurance scheme for family if anything happens to the breadwinner.

Women have been quite impressed with the Congress’ offer of LPG cylinder for Rs 500 and Rs 2,500 financial assistance to women under the Mahalaxmi scheme.

BRS MLA Jogu Ramanna tried to impress women of Kummariwada with the ruling party’s counter offer, particularly LPG cylinder at Rs 100 lesser and “KCR Beema Prathi Intiki Dheema” insurance scheme.

BRS leaders are trying hard to divert attention, especially of women, from the Congress’ six guarantee schemes. But many women have got taken in by the Mahalaxmi scheme.

Jogu Ramanna said BRS does not want to cheat people like the Congress by offering Allauddin’s magic lamp. But the ruling party has tremendously developed the state in past 10 years, when Congress had failed in this task despite ruling the state for 50 years and TD followed suit while ruling for 18 years.

The ruling party MLA maintained that it takes time to empower all people and it will benefit more people in its next term.

Jogu Ramanna conceded that though some applicants did not get pensions, majority of them did. He said people who missed out had been because of mistakes by the computers.

He assured that applicants under all categories will receive their pensions once BRS comes back to power.
