Bajireddy Govardhan to head TSRTC

As a four-time MLA, he represented Armoor, Banswada on Cong ticket. He was representing Nizamabad Rural for the last 2 tenures on TRS ticket

HYDERABAD: Nizamabad rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan has been appointed as the new chairman of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). This was announced by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday. Govardhan stated that he would render justice to the post and the corporation would tread new grounds. As a four-time MLA, he represented Armoor and Banswada as a Congress legislator. He is representing Nizamabad Rural Assembly for the last two tenures on the ruling party ticket.

Hailing from Chimanpally village in Sirikonda mandal, his tryst with politics began when he was unanimously elected as sarpanch of Chimanpally. He later served as the MPP of Sirikonda and as director of the Finance Corporation.

His followers were hopeful that he would be included in the state Cabinet while some expected that the BC leader would be appointed as chairman of Rythu Samanvaya Samiti.
