TRS leaders attack BJP leader in Parkala

Warangal: TRS activists allegedly attacked BJP state executive member Kacham Guru Prasad in Parkala town of Warangal district on Tuesday.

Prasad was heading to his house on his bike alone when the followers of TRS MLA Challa Dharma Reddy allegedly blocked and attacked him. Reacting immediately, locals who were present at the location shifted him to a private hospital.

On learning of the incident, BJP state general secretary Gulla Premandar Reddy and district unit president Rao Padma Rao along with a large number of BJP workers visited Parkal.

Condemning the attack by the TRS workers, BJP leaders staged a dharna at the Parkal bus stand, alleging that instead of arresting the TRS men who attacked Prasad, the police were lodging cases against the BJP workers.

BJP spokesperson A. Rakesh Reddy alleged that the TRS was not able to digest the popularity of the BJP and the response which it is getting from the people. The TRS leaders were testing the patience of the BJP workers, he said.

If Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had faith in democracy, he must order an immediate inquiry into the incidents and have those responsible arrested and suspend them from the party.
