Navaratnalu Alayam opened near Srikalahasti town

Srikalahasti YSRC MLA Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy has spent Rs 3.5 crore on establishing this temple near the Jagananna housing colony

TIRUPATI: Deputy Chief Minister K. Narayana Swamy, along with panchayat raj minister P. Ramachandra Reddy, on Monday inaugurated a “Navaratnalu Alayam” near Srikalahasti town in Chittoor district. It is a first of its kind temple built to showcase flagship welfare programmes of the AP government.

Srikalahasti YSRC MLA Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy has spent Rs 3.5 crore on establishing this temple near the Jagananna housing colony. Coinciding with the occasion, Narayana Swamy and Ramachandra Reddy distributed house sites to nearly 2,000 beneficiaries at a special programme.

Addressing beneficiaries at the venue, MLA Madhusudhan Reddy pointed out that late AP chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy had granted houses to nearly 10,000 beneficiaries at Srikalahasti during his tenure as CM of the state.

"Now his son and present Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has sanctioned 2,000 house sites to beneficiaries in Srikalahasti”, he underlined.

The MLA asserted that Navaratnalu welfare schemes have benefited nearly six crore poor beneficiaries in the state during the last two years. As a result, many of the beneficiaries have emerged out of their poverty, he added.
