Congress slams KT Rama Rao over remarks
Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leaders lashed out at IT minister K.T. Rama Rao for calling them luchhaalu (uncouth) and demanded that he withdraw his remarks.
TPCC working president and MLA, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, asked Mr Rama Rao to explain whether Congress leaders were uncouth because the Congress government granted the demand for a separate Telangana state and approved development projects.
Speaking to the media on Thursday he said that the TRS was looting public money in the name of redesigning projects. Mr Vikramarka challenged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to an open debate on the issue and added that he could prove it.
TPCC vice-president and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar told Mr Rama Rao not to forget that the Congress had given political birth to his father, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao.
He said Mr Chandrasekhar was going in for early elections as the TRS graph was going down day by day.
Opposition leader K. Jana Reddy condemned Mr Rama Rao’s remarks and asked him to speak in a dignified manner. He asked Mr Chandra-sekhar to control his son.
