Hyderabad: The TRS on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress’ ‘Rythu Garjana’ saying the party which had neglected farmers and farm sector during its rule was now shedding crocodile tears.
Minister T. Harish Rao, MLC Karne Prabhakar, MPs B. Vinod Kumar and K. Kavitha and others accused the Congress of misguiding farmers on land acquisition and related matters when TRS government was trying its best to pay adequate compensation and ensure irrigation facilities.
“Congress, when in power, ignored farmers. They slept like Kumbhkaran when in power. KCR is aware of farmers’ problems and has ensured quality power,” Mr Harish Rao said.
