Kerala Assembly Elections: It's precious, none wants to miss it

CPM district secretary P. Rajeev voted at Cochin University statistics department booth.

KOCHI: Most of the celebrities in Ernakulam district did not miss their votes in the Assembly election held on Monday. Actors Mammootty and son Dulquer Salman voted at the Government High School in Panampilly Nagar. Director Joshi also voted at the same school.

Cricketer and NDA candidate in Thiruvananthauram S. Sreesanth voted at Pious Girls High School, Edappally. Kavya Madhavan cast vote at Vennala Government High School. Kaviyoor Ponnamma voted at Karumaloor Govt LPS booth. Actor Salim Kumar, who protested Mohanlal campaigning for Ganesh Kumar at Pathanapuram, voted at Paravur while Guinness Pakru voted at Eruveli Government High School.

Dileep and his mother voted at Aluva while Sreenivasan and wife voted at Tripunithura Kandanad St Mary’s High School. Lalu Alex voted at Piravom MKM School. UDF candidate and minister K. Babu voted at the Government Girls High School, Tripunithura while LDF candidate M. Swaraj voted at Nettikulam in Nilambur.

CPM district secretary P. Rajeev voted at Cochin University statistics department booth. Prof. M.K. Sanu voted at SRV School. Both Jayasurya and Nivin Pauly were away from their native places and hence they did not vote in this elections. V.D. Satheesan voted at Paravur Kesari college booth. Piravom LDF candidate M.J. Jacob voted at the Manimalakkunnu Government College. Minister Anoop Jacob voted at Mannathoor Athanikkal Government Higher Secondary School.

District collector M.G. Rajamanickam and wife Nishanthini, SP, voted at SRV High School, Ernakulam. Cardinal Mar George Alancherry, Auxiliary bishop Sebastian Adayanthrath and Varapuzha Archbishop Dr Francis Kallarackal cast their vote St Mary’s High School at Ernakulam Market Road.

Angamaly LDF candidate Benny Moonjely voted in Kallupalam in the same constituency. UDF candidate Roji M. John voted in Kalamassery. Aluva LDF candidate V. Salim voted at Aluva Municipal Library booth. UDF candidate Anwar Sadath voted in Chengamanad. Perumbavoor LDF candidate Saju Paul voted in Vengoor.

UDF candidate Eldhose Kunnappilly voted in Muvattupuzha while Eldho Abraham who is LDF candidate in Moovattupuzha voted in Thrikkalathur there. UDF candidate Joseph Vazhakkan voted in Muvattupuzha Nirmala Junior School.
Kothamangalam LDF candidate Antony John voted in Varappetty while UDF candidate T U Kuruvila voted in Chelad Public School booth. Ernakulam LDF candidate M Anil Kumar voted in Puthukkalavattom IGM Public School.

Hibi Eden voted in Thrikkakara constituency at Mamangalam. UDF candidate in Vypeen K.R. Subhash voted in Cherayi SM Higher Secondary School booth while LDF candidate S Sarma voted in Paravur Samooham High School.

Due to the overcast sky conditions and poor lighting, visibility was poor in several polling stations, especially with cardboards covering the machine, due to which a few voters complained of not being able to properly see the names and corresponding photo and symbols of candidates in the machine, after coming out from polling stations.
