Hyderabad: As many as 10 defected MLAs are ready to return to YSR Congress, if they are assured of tickets for the next election. After the 2014 Assembly election, around 22 YSRC MLAs had joined in the ruling TD and some of them were made Ministers.
The other defected MLAs are not happy in continuing with the TD. They are in touch with top YSRC leaders to return to the party.
Defected MLA Mani Gandhi from Kodumur in Kurnool district recently said that he joined the TD purely for monetary benefits offered to him. He also said that he had spoiled his political future by joining the TD.
Some other defected MLAs have the same opinion. While the elections are soon approaching, the defected MLAs are planning to return to the home party. Sources in the YSRC said that their party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is not ready to offer party tickets to the defected leaders.
In fact, he does not want to see the face of some of the defected MLAs. Sources said that if they return, without aspiring party tickets, they may be considered by the party chief.
