Chennai: Fans of Rajnikanth are up in arms against DMDK founder Vijayakanth following the latter’s boasting at a poll rally that he had more guts than the superstar.
Addressing the PWA campaign rally at Villivakkam late Friday evening, ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth declared he would not be cowed down by anyone threatening him. “At the time of release of movie Gajendra, (2004), PMK leader Ramadoss threatened me. But I am not the type who is afraid of such threats.
Vijayakanth is not afraid of anybody. Vijayakanth is afraid of only good people with good hearts. I will not withdraw like Rajnikanth. He will stay away from unnecessary fights,” he said to the loud cheering from the crowd.
Captain’s boasting has upset Rajni’s fans, who burnt his effigies at Menambal Nagar in Kodungaiyur in north Chennai.
