THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LDF is all set to take its campaign to the next level from April 20 with veteran leader and star campaigner V. S. Achuthanandan kicking of electioneering from the northern end of the state Kasargod.
Achuthananda will campaign non stop from April 20 to May 2 with just a day 's break on April 25. Barring Palakkad where he has already spent three consecutive days, holding election meetings in all panchayats, the veteran leader will be covering the other districts extensively.
As of now the plan is to have at least three election meetings in each district. But given the popular demand from the cadre and left supporters, he might end up addressing more gatherings. In Kannur the veteran will campaign in all major constituencies including Dharmadom where Pinarayi Vijayan is contesting.
While Achuthanandan is taking north-south route during his campagin trail, CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan would begin his election campaign from the southern tip Thiruvananthapruam on April 20. He will cover Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki , Ernakulam, Thrissur , Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur.
The last leg of his campaign will be in Kasargod on May 6. Apart from Achuthanandan and Pinarayi, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and M A Baby would be campaigning in all districts.
