TRS a threat to democracy, says Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka

Bhatti Vikramarka said the governor should take action on defections by Congress MLAs as a guardian of the Constitution.

Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Telangana Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday urged Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to dismiss the TRS government which was acting in undemocratic way and recommend imposing President Rule in the state.

Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Mr Bhatti Vikramarka said the governor should take action on defections by Congress MLAs as a guardian of the Constitution. The leader of Oppositoin said he along with a few other leaders would meet the Governor on Monday and later meet the President of India on MLAs defections issue.

Mr Bhatti alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to eliminate the Opposition by encouraging defections of MLAs which is s danger for democracy. He said that the governor should take up this issue. He said the Congress would launch agitation against this practice in phases.
