Chennai: With freebies dominating the various poll manifestos in successive elections in recent times, the ruling AIADMK and rival DMK have engaged specialists such as economists and sociologists to draft dream manifestos for wooing the voters.

All are being very secretive in preparing the manifestos lest rivals steal their ideas. Mobile phones, refrigerators and washing machines could find place in some of the manifestos for the forthcoming Assembly polls in May.
