V M Sudheeran to skip Rahul Gandhi's elevation fete

Interestingly, former KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has not left for New Delhi.

Thiruvananthapuram: A high-level contingent comprising of 25 Congress leaders from the state has left for New Delhi to attend the swearing-in of Rahul Gandhi as AICC president. KPCC president M. M. Hassan, opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and former chief minister Oommen Chandy have led the team to New Delhi on Friday evening. Interestingly, former KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has not left for New Delhi. He had also stayed away from the concluding programme of Padayorukkam on Thursday.

In the absence of senior level Congress leaders, party workers have decided to organise jubilation march in support of Rahul Gandhi's elevation as party president and will also distribute sweets to the public at various centres. KPCC leadership has decided to organise its office bearers’ meet at Indira Bhavan on Monday. The meeting will evaluate the performance of Padayorukkam.
