Bandi accuses BRS leaders of grabbing land in Patancheru

Hyderabad: BJP’s Karimnagar candidate Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that people from Patancheru were struggling while living amid highly polluted surroundings and the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao remains oblivious of this.

Addressing an election meeting in Patancheru, he said, "Rao had promised that Hussainsagar Lake will be cleaned and areas abutting Musi river beautified. However, the government is not taking any steps to take care of people's health.”

Alleging that “one can’t expect honesty from KCR,” Sanjay said that the BJP if it comes to power, would launch Metro Rail lines from Miyapur to Sangareddy and Tellapur.

“Metro Rail did not come to the area and railway projects have not materialized as the land has not been given,” he alleged.

He said the land rates had shot up in Patancheru due to which BRS leaders were encroaching prime land in Patancheru, Ramchandrapur, and Jinnaram mandals while the local MLA was encroaching water bodies.

On Congress MLAs defecting to other parties, he said “Rao is funding 50 Congress candidates. The state will develop only if the BJP comes to power. We will perform well despite some media channels claiming to the contrary.”
