KCR family pink bollworms', says Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka
BHAINSA (NIRMAL): State Congress election campaign committee chairman Mallu Batti Vikramarka described the family of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS as “pink bollworms” that had attacked the state, and the people should get rid of them by defeating the party in the elections.
Pink bollworm is a pest which attacks cotton crop and eats up the leaves and cotton buds and causes huge loss to farmers. “The pink bollworm ate up the state Budget and become fat,” Mr Vikramarka told a gathering in Bhainsa after inspecting the venue for the October 20 public meeting of Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
Mr Vikramarka said Mr Rahul Gandhi was visiting Bhainsa as he was committed to the welfare and development of BC, Dalits and STs communities, which are present in large numbers in Adilabad district.
Mr Vikramarka said the Congress would complete the construction of the B.R. Ambedkar Sujala Sravanthi Prana-hitha Chevella project at Thummidihatti in Kuatala in the district.
He criticised the state government for its failure in controlling the sale of fake cotton seeds which were causing a huge loss to the farmesr. He said the TRS had made the Telangana state vulnerable to the trade of fake seeds.
Mr Vikramarka said the Congress on coming to power would give minimum support price of Rs 6,000 for cotton to strengthen the agriculture families. Former Assembly floor leader K. Jana Reddy said the Congress was united and was ready face Mr Chandrasekhar Rao and his family.
The people had made up their mind to vote in favour of the Congress, he said. Former home minister Sabita Indra Reddy, party observers Sreenivas Krishnan and Bosu Raju were present at the meeting.
