KCR will be shunned by the public: Congress

Mr Reddy warned that with all the unfulfilled promises, people feel cheated and will shun KCR when he comes for the public meeting later this month.

WARANGAL: Instead of concentrating on development works, the TRS leaders focused more on the commissions they got and did only those works which fetched them money. As a result, the major development works and the promises made by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao have remained unfulfilled. How will the CM face the people of Warangal when he comes to inaugurate the textile park and address a public meeting? District Congress president Naini Rajender Reddy shot off all these questions.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he criticised the TRS leaders for resorting to personal attacks whenever Congress leaders questioned the progress of development works in Warangal city.

“We have asked the TRS leaders many times about the development works and the promises of KCR made to the people of Warangal. Instead of answering our questions, they always threw personal jabs at us. We even conducted an open debate but the TRS leaders did not attend. Now the municipal administration minister himself has pointed out the delay in development works in Warangal and the TRS leaders have no answer. The CM KCR always calls Opposition party leaders ‘daddamas’ (useless fellows), now KTR called all the TRS leaders in Warangal ‘daddamas’,” the district Congress chief ridiculed.

Mr Reddy warned that with all the unfulfilled promises, people feel cheated and will shun Chief Minister KCR when he comes for the public meeting later this month.

“The roads in Warangal are in a really bad state, the underground drainage system promise remains a non-starter, not even one 2bhk house has been given to a family, where are all the development funds going?” he asked.
