Congress leaders conclude 105km padayatra on Independence Day

AICC secretary Rohit Chaudhary appealed to the people to dislodge the TRS government and bring the Congress to power

ADILABAD: A massive rally was taken out for a distance of 12km from Donabanda village to Luxettipet town on the concluding day, on Monday, of the Azadi ki Gourav Yatra that passed through 105km in Mancherial district.

A large number of people and Congress activists and leaders participated in the event. AICC secretary Rohit Chaudhary appealed to the people to dislodge the TRS government and bring the Congress to power so as for the youths to get jobs and the poor, the Dalits, BCs and women to derive the benefits of various welfare schemes.

He said, “Only KCR and his family members got jobs with the creation of Telangana state and the TRS party neglected the youths and the unemployed who fought for the separate state.”

It was the Congress party and Sonia Gandhi that created the separate Telangana and people must bring the tricolour party back to power in the next polls.

He noted that the tagline of the Telangana agitation was Neellu, Nidhulu and Niyamakalu but these have not reached the people yet.

Former MLC Premsagar Rao hoped that the Congress party will come to power and added that the party will win all the ten MLA seats in the erstwhile Adilabad district.

Former minister Gaddam Vinod said the Congress will bring prosperity to Telangana and its people once it wins power.

DCC president Surekha said that while the party high command had asked them to organise 75km of padayatra, “we have held it for a total stretch of 105km with the support of the local people of Bellampalli, Chennur and Mancherial assembly constituencies.”
