K Chandrasekhar Rao likely to replace 46 MLAs for 2019 elections

TRS won 63 seats out of 119 in the 2014 Assembly polls and formed the first government in TS.

Hyderabad: As many as 46 TRS MLAs out of the total 90 are in the “danger zone”, according to surveys on the winning prospects of candidates in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

The surveys by independent agencies were ordered by party president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Five of those on the list are said to be ministers.

The situation is said to be grim in Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts.

TRS sources said Mr Rao had directed these MLAs to improve their performance, and reach out to the people by staying in their constituencies for the next three months or else the party will be forced to look for alternatives.
