Naidu Condemns State Government's Attitude to Pawan Kalyan

Tirupati: Telugu Desam president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday took a strong objection to the “hostile” attitude of the state government towards Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.

Interacting with the media at the fag end of his three-day tour of Kuppam, Naidu said ministers have were using highly objectionable language against Kalyan and TD leaders. The people, angered over the “rude behaviour and atrocities” of YSRC leaders, were now rebelling against the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government, he claimed.

"The people are preparing to revolt against the government. All that remains is for them to chase the CM out of the state," he opined while likening CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il. Citing the affectionate welcome he received from the people of Kuppam, Naidu contrasted it with CM Jagan's resort to “threats” to the voters in Pulivendula to secure his electoral victories.

Naidu referred to the recent kidnap of the family members of a YSRC MP and said the law and order situation in the port city has deteriorated.

The TD’s mini-manifesto was created after closely observing the condition of the people, Naidu said “the conditions in Hyderabad had improved a lot after I took up the developmental works there.”

"I will develop Andhra Pradesh too on similar lines," he said, adding, “Borrowing funds is no great feat, but creation of assets is of prime importance to the state.” Why is there a significant drop in the state’s revenue, he asked. “If the TD had continued to govern AP, the revenue gap between Telangana and AP wouldn’t have been so wide, Naidu claimed.
