Why didn't Stalin repose faith in Cong govt: Pon Radhakrishnan

The PM and also Amit Shah, Mr. Radhakrishnan said, were responsible for the party's victory in Karnataka.

Chennai: Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan took potshots at DMK working president M. K. Stalin wondering why he did not ask the then Congress government in Karnataka to honour the Supreme Court verdict on Cauvery.

While asserting that the BJP’s “historic victory” in Karnataka speaks about the good governance by the visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dynamic leadership of party president Amit Shah, Mr. Radhakrishnan sought to know what had prevented Stalin from asking the Siddaramaiah government to abide by the Supreme Court verdict on Cauvery.

“The DMK leader has congratulated the BJP for its victory in elections and urged it not to violate Tamil Nadu’s rights on Cauvery as per the Supreme Court order and strive for cordial ties with TN. I wonder why he had not asked the same thing when the Congress was in power in Karnataka,” the Minister said and thanked Stalin for greeting the BJP.

The PM and also Amit Shah, Mr. Radhakrishnan said, were responsible for the party’s victory in Karnataka. “History in the making as BJP emerges as the largest party in #Karnataka Assembly. Because of hard work of our inspiring leaders PM Shri @narendramodi and Shri @AmitShah ji who worked tirelessly to turn the tide. Karnataka has spoken!,” he tweeted.
