Thol Thirumavalavan blames Governor for continuing stalemate

The Governor should immediately invite any faction, which has the majority MLAs with them to prove it in the Assembly, he said.

Chennai: VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan on Wednesday blamed Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao for the continuing political impasse in the state and said the delay in taking a decision had paralysed the state administration.

Though there are attempts to encourage the MLAs in the faction of AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala to join Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam's camp, the latter would not be able to get the required majority, he said.

On the other hand, if about 20 members defected from the Sasikala group, the government would fall, he said and accused the Governor of delaying a decision with a view to dissolve the Assembly.

The Governor should immediately invite any faction, which has the majority MLAs with them to prove it in the Assembly, he said and added that the government is unable to take action on the Cauvery dispute, drought situation and NEET due to the continuing impasse, Thirumavalavan said.
