Hyderabad: The lone minister of the new TRS government, Mahmood Ali, who was given the Home portfolio, visited the historical Makkah Masjid on Friday and performed Juma prayer and salat us shukr (gratitude prayer).
Mr Ali said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was a secular and visionary leader who was focused on the development of TS and welfare of all communities. He said Mr Rao had given him an important portfolio like Home, while in the previous term he was made the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue, which was unprecedented.
“Telangana is a unique state where people of all communities are living with love and affection with each other. In our state law and order situation is very good,” he said. Mr Ali was felicitated by the Khateeb and Imam of the Masjid after the prayer along with newly elected Charminar MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.
