Hyderabad: MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi along Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri met GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy and discussed developmental activities in the Old City.
He brought up the issue of construction of a multilevel parking at the Charminar bus stand and Pension Office under Charminar Pedestriani-sation Project (CPP) and reconstruction of Murgi Chowk after dismantling the existing structure.
Mr Owaisi also took up the proposals for an elevated corridor from the zoo to Aramgarh. He suggested that traffic issues at Puranapul junction be resolved by constructing a flyover from Puranapul to City College. He wanted declaration of the Old City as flood-free zone by taking up of widening of the balance nala as per Kirloskar report, corridor development from IS Sadan to Nalgonda crossroad.
Mr Owaisi said widening of the nala should be done in phases, and gave the GHMC a break-up of his proposed plan of action.
