BRS leaders rowdyism at its peak, says Bandi Sanjay

Karimnagar: BJP national general-secretary and Karimnagar BJP candidate Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that the political rowdyism of BRS leaders had reached its peak as they were indulging in land encroachment and exploitation of sand reaches across the state.

Addressing a roadshow in Karimnagar on Tuesday, the MP alleged that the ruling party leaders had drawn lakhs of public money by submitting fake bills in the name of developing greenery in graveyards.

Bandi accused minister and BRS candidate Gangula Kamalakar of diverting the development funds for Karimnagar.

Kamalakar, the three-time MLA from Karimnagar who never bothered about public issues, was spoiling the bright future of youths by driving them towards drug addiction. Fearing loss in the elections, he was trying to grab young voters by distributing a cellphone and Rs10,000 cash each, he alleged.

At a campaign meeting in Husnabad constituency in support of BJP candidate Bomma Sriram Chakravarthy, the BJP MP termed Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar as a carpetbagger and said TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy and Ponnam never fought for public problems.

“Whereas, the BRS government sent me to jail two times and lodged 74 illegal cases against me for fighting in support of people of various sections,” he claimed. It was the BJP which stood by the oustees of the Gouravelli project when they were lathi-charged by the state government, he said.

He alleged that Chief Minister KCR was trying to take the credit of Siddipet-Elkaturthy road widening via Husnabad for which the Central government sanctioned Rs 578 crores.

Claiming that all the developmental works taking place in the Husnabad constituency were because of the Central funds, Bandi appealed to the voters to support BJP for all-round development, by not splitting the anti-BRS vote bank.
