BRS vows to fool people: BJP

Hyderabad: BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy said the BRS, with its election manifesto released on Sunday, was trying to hoodwink the people again after having failed to implement its promises made ahead of the 2014 and 2018 Assembly polls.

Addressing the media, he reeled out a long list of promises which he said the BRS had not kept, and said, “KCR’s actions don’t match his words. KCR’s economic policies are the worst. He has used the increased wealth to loot.”

Senior BJP leader K. Laxman said, “Not one OBC woman was given a seat by the BRS. Kavitha spoke of reservations to women but how many seats did they give?”

In a post on X (Twitter) BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said, “People are seeking answers to the promises made by BRS in 2014.”

Meanwhile, addressing the fisherman community, Union minister Niranjan Jyoti said, “KCR neither gave Rs five lakh for houses to the poor as promised by him nor did he implement the PM Awas Yojana and failed the poor. Earlier when we went to foreign countries we were identified by the scams in the country but now we are known for our vision and competence.”

BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was promising now what he had not implemented since 2014. “Having failed to develop the state, BRS seems to be relying on promises of free schemes to fool the people,” she said.
