MK Stalin is welcome to be Swachh Bharat ambassador: Tamilisai Soundararajan
Chennai: DMK working president M. K. Stalin who of late is seen cleaning temple tanks may not have expected this bit of compliment, though sarcastic from BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
The BJP chief who praised him for “following” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clean India campaign, in TN, said Mr. Stalin could be the ambassador for Clean India Campaign, if he wished. “Stalin has started emulating our Prime Minister Modi’s Swachch Bharat campaign. I wish to laud him for this aspect. We will extol whoever follows the footsteps of Mr. Modi in the mission to make India clean and tidy. Stalin can become the ambassador of Clean India Campaign if he wishes,” Dr Tamilisai said.
She was willing to extend her invitation to him to become the ambassador of Swachch Bharat Campaign, she said while speaking to reporters after launching her BJP’s initiative to distribute Nilavembu kashayam to the members of the public at Kotturpuram her on Saturday as part of an effort to prevent the spread of Dengue.
Could have brought dengue under control: Meanwhile, BJP senior and Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan claimed that the dreaded Dengue fever could have been kept under check if only the State government had implemented the Swachch Bharat campaign in a big way.
