KCR betrayed unemployed, students: BJP

BRS betrayed people of Telangana with hollow promises

WARANGAL: Unemployed youth and students, who actively participated in the separate Telangana movement aspiring that their lives would change with plenty of employment opportunities created after achieving statehood, were deeply disappointed under the regime of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, alleged BJP district unit president Rao Padma.

BJP leaders led by Rao Padma burnt an effigy of the Chief Minister in front of the martyrs statue at Adalat Centre in Hanamkonda on Thursday, in a protest for foiling the BJP dharna by arresting party state chief G. Kishan Reddy.

Rao Padma alleged that KCR did nothing good for the people of Telangana, and instead betrayed them with hollow promises though they gave power to the BRS for two terms.

The BRS chief promised a government to each family in the state after the formation of Telangana state. But he failed to keep his word after coming to power. Instead of job notifications, the BRS government is much more interested in issuing tender notifications for liquor shops, she said.

On several occasions, Chief Minister KCR and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao promised to develop the Warangal on par with the city of Hyderabad by sanctioning Rs 1,000 crore funds every year. But to date, the government had not sanctioned any funds and taken up any developmental works in the city, she said.

Several sections of people are attracted towards the Narendra Modi-led BJP government by seeing the enormous growth taking place in the country and ready to support the BJP in the coming Assembly elections by teaching a fitting lesson to the BRS, she added.

BJP leaders R. Kishan, D. Sadanandam, Chada Swathi, Komala, Vasantha, Chirra Narsingh Goud, Bairi Shravan, Bharath Goud, Saiduddin, Devandar Reddy, Jaipal Reddy, Sarangapani, Rajashekar Reddy, Srikanth Om Prakash, Madhu Chandra Yadav and Srikanth were present.
