Chandrababu Naidu confident TD can regain past glory in Telangana
Hyderabad: After a long gap of nine months, Telugu Desam national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday visited NTR Bhavan, the headquarters of the party in Hyderabad.
Mr Naidu held a meeting with Telangana TD leaders and discussed rebuilding the party in the state. He expressed confidence that the TD will regain its past glory in Telangana.
The TD supremo said that the party required a new leadership in Telangana. “If there are any leadership lapses, we will rectify them. We will strengthen the party in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana. Telugu Desam was born in Hyderabad and we must bring back its past glory,” Mr Naidu said.
He said that the TD needed leaders like Aswaraopet MLA M. Nageswara Rao who did not switch loyalties despite being lured by other parties.
Mr Naidu said that some leaders may leave the party for their selfish interests but the workers remain with the party. “If one leader leaves the party, we will make a hundred leaders,” Mr Naidu said.
