K M Mani not corrupt, party ready for talks, says K Muraleedharan

Muslim League leader P. K. Kunhalikutty had demanded that AICC leadership should hold talks with the allies.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress MLA K. Muraleedharan has opined that Congress - Muslim League relation will not break. He said he doesn't have the opinion that KC (M) chairman K. M. Mani is corrupt, and it will not dent the image of the UDF. While talking to reporters here, Mr Muraleedharan said the Congress is ready to hold talks with Mr Mani. But the only grouse against him is that he left the front without any warning.

Mr Muraleedharan also demanded that Congress leadership should take the initiative against those Congress leaders who have played spoilsport against JDU candidate in Nemom.“Congress and Muslim League’s relation dates back to 50 years. It will never break,” he said. KPCC chief V. M. Sudheeran reacted to his statement that all the issues of the allies would be discussed and amicably settled.

On Saturday, Muslim League leader P. K. Kunhalikutty had demanded that AICC leadership should hold talks with the allies. “Whatever issues are brewing in the front will be discussed and amicably settled. They will be considered seriously,” he said. The other day, CPM mouthpiece Deshabhimani had taken a softer stand towards the Muslim League. In the light of that, Congress leadership is taking the views raised by Mr Kunhalikutty seriously. Meanwhile, Youth Front (M) president Saji Manjakdambil reacted to Mr Muraleedharan’s statement in Kottayam citing that he is making statement on KC (M) leadership just to be in the limelight.
