Telangana Rashtra Samiti to replicate GHMC strategy in Municipal polls
ADILABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti is promising to announce and allot 2BHK homes after the municipal elections, thereby fulfilling the promise during the municipal elections campaign like it did in Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections in the past.
Many people live with the hope that they will get their 2BHK as they have been waiting for the allotment of 2BHK and making regular visits to their ward counsellors and TRS MLA Jogu Ramanna of Adilabad. In the old Adilabad district, all the 10 MLAs are from the TRS.
Adilabad, Nirmal, Kagaznagar, Bellampalli and Mancherial and Bhainsa Municipalities fall under the respective Assembly constituencies being representing by the TRS MLAs.
News is making the rounds in the political circles that the TRS is planning to replicate the strategy it had adopted in the GHMC election.
TRS party leaders promised to construct more 2BHKs. Meanwhile the TRS is happy to show off the model 2BHK colony constructed in some colonies in Erravelli in Medak. Former minister Jogu Ramanna has promised to distribute the 2BHK houses to the poor after the municipal elections. However, the 2BHKs will be distributed based on the selections of beneficiaries through a lottery.
District officials have received thousands of applications for the sanction of 2BHK on the petitions’ day that is, Monday. The number of wards has been increased to 46 from 36 in the Adilabad Municipality after merging the surrounding rural areas into the Adilabad Municipality. Voters residing in slums are likely to play a crucial role in the victory of any political party in the municipal elections.
