Chamundeshwari may be Siddaramaiah pick in 2018
Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hinted that he was thinking of contesting from Chamundeshwari in 2018.
According to sources close to the CM, Mr Siddaramaiah may contest from Chamundeshwari and his son Yatindra may contest from Varuna.
The CM while speaking after inaugurating the new building of Nirvana Swamy PU College, high school and convent of Degula Math at Nandini layout in Alanahalli, said, "You (people of Chamundeshwari) have elected me MLA five times. And you gave me political rebirth in the 2006 byelections. I am considering contesting again from Chamundeswari," Mr Siddaramaiah said.
Later, after laying foundation stone for a project in Nanjangud taluk, Mr Siddaramaiah said, " Due to my work pressure I have not been able to visit Varuna frequently. Earlier my older son Rakesh (who died last year) used to take care of work in Varuna. Now my younger son Dr Yathindra has given up his profession to help me take care of the constituency. You must give your blessings to Yathindra," he said.
