Why BJP holding 'Nirudyoga March', asks KTR

Says Congress was given 10 chances, but failed people

HYDERABAD: BRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao slammed the BJP for undertaking the 'Nirudyoga March' and the Congress for urging people to give them 'one chance' to form government in Telangana.

Rama Rao said during a public meeting in Kongarakalan on Monday, "Why are BJP leaders holding ‘Nirudyoga march’ in Telangana? Is this a protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Chief Minister KCR? If Prime Minister Modi had kept his election pledge of providing two crore jobs every year, the youth in the country would have got 18 crore jobs in the last nine years, negating the need for the Nirudyoga march. The BRS government is in the process of creating about 2.5 lakh jobs in the government sector alone. Of this, over 1.35 lakh jobs have been filled."

Rama Rao assailed the Congress leaders for hosting padayatras and public meetings and pleading with people to give them 'one chance.’ "Why one chance? People have given Congress more than 10 chances. For more than 55 years, they ruled the state and the country. Those who have failed to provide even the most basic necessities of the people, such as power, drinking water, and irrigation, despite ruling for decades, are now pleading with people to give them one chance. I implore people not to believe such politicians who failed to perform when they were in power."

Rama Rao said that under the leadership of Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, Telangana achieved rapid and balanced growth in all the sectors. "The IT sector has grown rapidly, surpassing even Bengaluru in IT job creation. The agriculture sector has witnessed steep growth with record food grains production.

Greenery and forest cover has increased and the industrial sector registered rapid growth. Villages have transformed with Palle Pragathi while cities and towns have world-class infrastructure facilities. Show me one government in the country which has achieved this kind of balanced growth," he asked.
