Chennai: In an effort to reach out to rural voters, People's Welfare Alliance on Monday has released campaign songs for the May 16 Assembly elections.
After releasing a music CD consisting of seven songs, PWA coordinator and MDMK general secretary Vaiko said that the songs would create a great impact among rural voters.
The music for the songs was composed by poet Chithan and lyrics were written by MDMK's poet Manivendhan and VCK's Vanniarasu. Mr Vaiko said that even before the election dates were declared, the PWA has completed three phases of the campaign covering 22 districts.
“Unlike other parties, we began our election campaign work ahead of others. Day to day we are getting more support from the voters,” he said.
