THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president M. M. Hassan has sent a letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan demanding that the perpetrators in the murder of S. P. Shuhaib should be charged under UAPA. He has also demanded that the police probe should be neutral and held without fear.
In the letter, Hassan said it was unfortunate that not a single perpetrator has been arrested even after a day had elapsed since Shuhaib was hacked to death. He alleged that the hands of the police have been tied.
"A Special Investiga-tion Team has to be formed to probe the murder. They should be slapped with UAPA as the video of the perpetrators threatening Shuhaib has come out in the open", said Hassan.
