44 AIS officers drafted as election observers from AP

Vijayawada: A team of 44 senior officers of All India Services have been briefed here on Friday their role as central election observers for the orderly conduct of elections in five assembly poll-bound states.
CEC Sushil Chandra held a virtual meeting with 35 IAS and nine IPS officers led by chief electoral officer and ex-officio special chief secretary Vijayanand, from New Delhi, to brief them on their role as elections observers in Punjab, UP, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa.
The CEC explained about the modalities and guidelines to be followed during the conduct of elections.
Meanwhile, all the AIS officers drafted for election duty have been given a C-booster dose.
