Jagan Mohan Reddy disappoints his party cadres on Bhogi festival
Vijayawada: YSRC leaders have expressed their agony about their chief Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy not participating in the Bhogi festival. The leaders had also put in all efforts to make him participate as it would bring mileage to the party in public.
A YSRC MLA shared, “If Jagan Mohan Reddy had participated it would have been a good sign as it would have created a platform for YSRC to get into the public further.”
There is a belief that YSRC chief Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy will not consider the suggestions of its leaders though there would be common party interests. The leaders had requested Mr Reddy to participate in the Bhogi festival as a part of his padayatra.
The party leaders had planned for a campfire in Chandragiri constituency where Mr. Reddy is residing as a part of his padayatra and had accordingly tried convincing him but in vain.
They even tried to convince him by making senior leaders as his close aides to make Mr. Reddy paricipate in the programme. Despite that, Mr. Reddy did not attend the Bhogi festival.
A party MLA shared they had lost the chance of effectively getting into public through participating in bhogi festival as a part of padayatra. He further said, as there is negative impact created on them, this participation is important to them to clear the earlier impact.
Finally, Mr. Reddy has agreed to visit the rangoli competition, harikatha programme, fly kites and even distribute clothes, in memory of his father late YSR, and pray to the holy bull. Even the family members of Mr. Reddy will participate in the programme according to per sources.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh and Balakrishna are in same constituency where Jagan is in, and have participated in bhogi festival.
YSRC leaders said that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy will not use the festivals to his advantage to get closer to public but would still participate in the Sankranti festival celebrations along with family members.
