Madhusudhana Chary nominated for MLC under government quota

Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan issued a notification to this effect on Tuesday

Hyderabad: Senior TRS leader and former TS Legislative Assembly speaker, S. Madhusudhana Chary, has been nominated as MLC under Governor’s quota. Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan issued a notification to this effect on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that earlier, the state cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, had earlier approved the nomination of Padi Kaushik Reddy as MLC under the Governor’s quota and had referred the same to the Governor for approval. However, the Governor had kept the approval pending. Although the Raj Bhavan did not provide any reasons officially, official sources cited pending police cases against Kaushik Reddy as the reason for delay.

Later, the CM nominated Kaushik Reddy as MLC under the MLAs quota on
November 15.

Subsequently, the state cabinet recommended the nomination of
S. Madhusudhara Chary as MLC under the Governor's quota on November 19, in place of Kaushik Reddy, and referred the same to the Governor for approval.

The Governor approved Chary’s nomination and issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
