HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday said the MLC results had proved yet again that the TRS was an unbeatable and unstoppable political force in Telangana.
Rama Rao congratulated party candidates on their victory and thanked the party's rank and file for working sincerely and with commitment to ensure the party's victory for the past few weeks. He said the TRS had continued its winning streak in every election since the formation of Telangana state in June 2014.
"People are electing the TRS candidates in every election, acknowledging the excellent administration by the TRS government led by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, realising the aspirations of people of Telangana. No other party in any state has achieved such resounding and consecutive victories in elections like TRS has achieved since 2014. All the elected bodies in Telangana from village level to the state level are filled with the TRS representatives and other parties have just namesake representation," Rama Rao said.
He added that the credit of strengthening local bodies in the state goes to the Chief Minister’s innovative initiatives especially Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi programmes through timely release of funds to urban and rural local bodies every month.
Impressed by the TRS government’s initiatives, the elected representatives of the local bodies chose the TRS candidates in all the 12 seats under local bodies quota, he noted.
Ministers T. Harish Rao, S. Niranjan Reddy, G. Jagadish Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, Koppula Eeshwar, Gangula Kamalakar, V. Srinivas Goud, MLC K. Kavitha and others congratulated the party's elected candidates on their victory.
