Cashless tops agenda for Telangana collectors

The government has asked special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and other officials to attend the conference.

Hyderabad: Steps to be taken to switchover to a cashless society would be the main topic for discussion at the collectors’ conference to be held on Wednesday by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his residence Pragati Bhavan.

In the day-long conference, Mr Rao will discuss the steps taken to increase digital literacy and need Mr Rao is keen on making TS a model state for cashless transactions.

Mr Rao will also discuss household data, Mission Bhagiratha, irrigation projects, industries, status of government lands, education, power, law and order situation and other issues.

The government has asked special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and other officials to attend the conference with relevant information.

In the irrigation sector, Mr Rao will discuss the status of minor irrigation tanks under Mission Kakatiya I and II and major, medium and lift irrigation schemes, land acquisition and procurement status.

The progress of work on intake wells for Mission Bhagiratha, water treatment plants, trunk mains and the grid network within villages will be discussed.
