Bandaru Dattatreya alleges internal rift in TRS
Hyderabad: BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya said the TRS was suffering from internal turbulence and as the election date approaches, its own cadre would rock the boat. Citing home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, he said that the TRS was splurging crores of rupees of public money to retain power in the State.
Telangana state's ranking in corruption reflects what the government is doing, he told reporters on Saturday, adding that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has no guts to reply to the questions posed by BJP national president Amit Shah.
Mr Dattatreya said Mr Shah would visit the state again on October 28 in order to address a big rally in the city. He said Mr Rao had changed his language and tempo as he saw the defeat approaching fast.
Accusing both the Congress and the TRS for using demeaning language in their public meetings, he said that the two parties have no time to take care of people's genuine problems.
Mr P. Babu Mohan, who recently joined the BJP, said he would canvass for the party in both Telugu states as he had a considerable following. He said Mr Rao, who brought him into the TRS, deserted him for no fault of his.
Mr Mohan said the BJP was the only party in the state which gives importance to Dalits and BCs. Mr Mohan also accused Mr Rao of giving a ticket to a person who was known to have a shady history.
