A Revanth Reddy alleges threat, seeks security
Hyderabad: TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy has requested TS Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar to provide security from central security agencies since he feared a threat to his life. Mr Revanth Reddy met the CEO on Saturday and submitted a letter in this regard.
He said he had no confidence on the DGP and his team. He alleged that the DGP had attended TRS meetings held at Nagarjunasagar in the past. He said the DGP had openly announced he would conduct ‘Blue Star Operation’.
Mr Revanth Reddy alleged that minister G. Jagadish Reddy and TRS MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy had recently threatened to kill him. Mr Revanth Reddy also complained about home minister Nayani Nara-simha Reddy’s statement that TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao offered him Rs 10 crore to contest from LB Nagar Assembly constituency. He said that it was a bribe and asked the authorities to suo motu register a case.
TRS MP G. Vinod Kumar and TRS MLC Srinivasa Reddy also met Mr Rajat Kumar to seek clarifications on the violations of model code of conduct and other issues.
Officials informed them that to hold any public meeting, permission had to be taken 48 hours before and the permission would be given on first come first serve basis. To send bulk SMS also permission should be taken from the election commission.
