KPCC president V M Sudheeran demands ouster of minister E P Jayarajan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran on Thursday demanded the immediate removal of industries minister E.P. Jayarajan from the ministry. Talking to reporters at the KPCC office, Mr Sudheeran has also demanded to know Chief Minister’s role in the controversy over the appointments of Mr Jayarajan’s relatives to top posts.
“Appointments to so many important posts can’t be made with the mere consent of a minister. Nobody is going to believe the Chief Minister’s statement that he had no clue about the appointments. Under these circumstances, the role of the Chief Minister should also be probed,” said Mr Sudheeran. He welcomed the decision by VACB director Jacob Thomas to hold a probe against Mr Jayarajan.
However, the decision has been delayed, said Mr Sudheeran. He urged that in the wake of such developments, Mr Jayarajan should step down or be expelled. He also warned that nobody should think that anyone can escape through petty politics. He also urged the BJP and the CPM to end violence in Kannur where the police has become passive.
