BJP's D2D Campaign in AP From June 20 on Central Aid

Vijayawada: BJP will take up a door-to-door campaign in Andhra Pradesh from June 20 to spread awareness among people about the assistance Centre is extending to the state.

BJP state president Somu Veerraju told the media here on Wednesday that their party has published a book listing details of assistance BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended to Andhra Pradesh during the last nine years. They have also released a brochure on it.

In a strong reaction to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent remarks that the YSRC government has had no support from the BJP, Veerraju wondered when the BJP extended its support to YSR Congress. He accused the CM of trying to mislead the people on the issue.

The BJP state president maintained that the BJP has long been waging a war against the corruption in ruling YSRC government. Top BJP leaders Amit Shah and J.P. Nadda underlined the same at their public meetings in Visakhapatnam and Srikalahasti respectively. They have highlighted YSRC’s liquor, mafia and land scams. They have also underlined how Jagan Mohan Reddy government is practicing religious discrimination and has failed to initiate action against those who attack Hindu Dharma.

Veerraju maintained that the Centre has allotted a whopping ₹8.16 lakh crore to AP. It has set up 10 institutions, which have not been mentioned even in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

He criticised the YSRC leadership for raising special category status, railway zone and other such issues whenever they targeted the Centre. He maintained that people were closely watching the mind-game politics being played by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in the state.

The state BJP president castigated the YSRC government for diverting central funds and indulging in land, sand and liquor scams. He challenged ruling YSRC leaders for a debate on central aid to AP.
