Guntur: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to complete construction of the new terminal at the Gannavaram airport before the commencement of Krishna Pushkaralu.
The chief minister visited the airport at Gannavaram near Vijayawada, while returning from Hyderabad, on Monday.
Mr Naidu expressed displeasure over the slow pace of construction works. Reviewing the progress of works, the chief minister directed officials to encourage only those completing the works on time, adhering to the quality standards.
Later, he spoke to the delegates of International Intelligent Health Summit, which would be organised in Vijayawada on July 10.
Dr. Arul Raj, founder-chairman of Commonwealth Medical Association Trust (UK), G. Srinadh Reddy and Dr. Praveen spoke to Mr Naidu about the arrangements for the summit.
