PK's proposals for alliance with TD sent to Delhi: GVL

Visakhapatnam: Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao said on Sunday that a proposal from the Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan for his party’s triangular alliance with Jana Sena and Telugu Desam in AP assembly polls has been sent to the central BJP leadership for consideration.

“Our national leaders would take a decision vis-à-vis BJP’s alliance with the JS,’’ the BJP MP told the media here.

He said Pawan Kalyan proposed that a split of the anti-YSRCP votes be avoided, so as to bring down the Jagan-led state government. “We have an alliance with the Jana Sena and a decision on adding more parties to the NDA would be taken by the national leaders,’’ the Rajya Sabha member said, adng, "No discussions were held in this regard at the state level.”

About the Karnataka elections, Narasimah Rao said the vote percentage remained the same as in the last elections but due to a realignment of alliances, the Congress got more seats.

He said BJP’s preparation of the charge-sheets against the YSRC government has begun in Visakhapatnam East and Gajuwaka constituencies and these would be ready by May 19.

On the shifting of Aganampudi Toll Plaza, Narasimha Rao said he requested surface transport minister Nitin Gadkari to shift it to the new highway between Pendurthi and Anandapuram junction, bypassing Visakhapatnam city. NHAI is continuing with the plaza by obtaining Supreme Court orders.

The shifting of the toll plaza would help Vizagites save crore of rupees annually, he said.
