Karnataka poll results won't reflect in other states: GVL

Vijayawada: BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said that the Karnataka Assembly election results would not reflect in other states as local issues determine the fate of contestants in Assembly polls.

The MP sounded confident that the BJP would win in the ensuing Parliamentary elections in Karnataka by bagging 28 out of 28 seats, just like in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh where the saffron party lost in Assembly polls but won 25 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan and 28 out of 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh.

He said that though Congress won the Assembly polls in Karnataka, the party’s vote bank remained unchanged at 36 per cent that they had secured in the last elections. He attributed the Congress success to gaining 4-5 per cent vote share of the JD (S). He said that as people are happy with the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party would record win in South India, be it in Telangana or any other state soon and prove that the support for BJP had never diminished.
