PM should keep his promise, says Priyank Kharge

Priyank said, you need to keep your word as the livelihood of ordinary people has been destroyed following denomination.

Kalaburagi: Reminding PM Modi of his offer to hang himself if normalcy was not restored within 50 days of denomination of large currency notes in the country, minister for social welfare, Priyank Kharge, said here on Monday
with sarcasm that the state government was ready to lay a road to the gallows if he kept his promise.

“You need to keep your word as the livelihood of ordinary people has been destroyed following denomination. The people are continuing to face difficulties even today. We are ready to lay the road, but is Mr Modi ready to honour
his promise?” Mr Priyank Kharge demanded, addressing a public meeting in Shadipur village of Chincholi taluk.

Reacting to the demand for an apology from his father and veteran Congress leader, Mallikarjun Kharge, for his criticism of Mr Modi, Mr Priyank Kharge shot back, “Let Mr Modi first apologise to Ms Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. If they want to register a case against Mr Kharge, they are welcome.”

Taking exception to former minister Mallikayya Guttedar calling him “Duryodhana”, he said he had given him a befitting reply during the last Assembly election.
